Signing for Dorking Wanderers back in 2018, Jason would play an instrumental part in the club’s recent history and success as they went on to win the Isthmian Premier Division by a record number of points at the end of his first season. Reaching the play-off semi finals the following year in the National League South, after the Covid-curtailed 2020/21 campaign, Jason would play his part in Wanderers winning the play-offs at the end of last season and getting promoted to the National League for the first time in the clubs history. Jason’s last goal in red and white was the opening header in the 3-0 play-off semi-final defeat of Oxford City back in May 2022, his 68th Wanderers goal in 120 appearances.

It’s been clear both parties have missed each other.Marc White

After re-joining his local side Havant & Waterlooville at the start of this season, Jason now returns to the Wanderers in non-league’s top tier, and manager Marc White cannot speak highly enough of the player he first signed back in 2018:

‘We were devastated when we lost Jason in the close season, it all happened quite quickly and in the interim period it’s been clear both parties have missed each other.’

‘It goes without saying this is massive news for the football club. This is a player of ‘legend’ status who is still in his prime, and has achieved a huge amount with the club and has been pivotal in our success and upward trajectory’

‘He is a leader of men, a perennial and ruthless winner who is loved by everyone at this club’

Jason, who will wear the number 19 shirt in his second spell at Wanderers, adds:

‘I’m delighted to be back at the Wanderers and back with Marc, the coaching staff and the lads once again. I’ve missed everything about the club since I left so when the chance came up to return, it was a no brainer for me.’

Jason will go straight into the matchday squad for today’s fixture against Aldershot Town.

Dorking Wanderers would like to thank Stuart Munro and Trevor Brock from Havant & Waterlooville for their support in making this switch possible.

The club would also like to thank Greg and Andrew of Station View Garage and Pat of JJ Mac for their support in bringing Jason back to Dorking Wanderers.
