Dorking Wanderers Official Website

Dorking Wanderers FC Women currently compete in the London & South East Premier Women’s League (Tier 5 of the Women’s football pyramid). We also play within the Women’s FA Cup, Capital Women’s Cup and the Combined Counties Women’s Cup competitions.

We were only formed in 2020 but have quickly established ourselves as a competitive force to be reckoned with in the local area. After narrowly missing out on winning the league and being crowned winners of the Capital Women’s Cup in 2022, this past season we achieved the league and cup double, winning the L&SE Division 1 South championship and retaining the Capital Women’s Cup. The Wanderers are undoubtedly on the rise!

This season we have made some key and exciting signings ahead to strengthen the existing squad ahead of our 2023
/24 league campaign.

 Lou Cooper, Ladies First Team Manager said;

“Our new signings are going to be great assets to our current team, we can’t wait to see what this season holds”

It’s certainly exciting times for us, not only being backed by Chairman, Calum Best, but being named as the first-ever women’s grassroots football team to take part in BBC Three’s Squad Goals: Dorking Til I Die. The 6 part – docu-series followed the Wanderers throughout their 2021/22 season, and after airing in October 2022, is available to watch now on BBC iPlayer.

Calum Best said;

“I see this series as an opportunity to show what grassroots women’s football is all about – the challenges, the highs and lows of a team and a club looking to create something special.”
