Kuhl To Continue At The Boro…

Since making the loan move to National League South side Farnborough, Aaron has been a consistent and key performer for the Hampshire outfit, featuring in virtually every game since his arrival in mid-October. Picking up various ‘Team of The Week’ and ‘Man Of The Match’ accolades through his 14 appearances so far, Aaron has also weighed in with crucial goals in recent weeks, netting his first for The Boro in the FA Trophy 2nd Round defeat of former side Slough Town, before scoring in back-to-back games as Spencer Day’s side drew at home to Bath City 2-2 and edged out Aveley 3-4 in a thriller at Parkside. The midfielder scored the match-winning goal in Farnborough’s final home game of 2023, a 1-0 win over Braintree Town on December 23rd, the day after which it was confirmed that Aaron’s loan spell would be extended from January through to the end of the 23/24 campaign.

Cook & Rutherford Join The Terras…

The past month has seen both Joe Cook and Alfie Rutherford join National League South side Weymouth on short term deals as the duo look to build match minutes and fitness. Despite his debut ending with a 0-2 loss to Hendon in the FA Trophy 3rd Round, Joe has started all four games since joining on December 8th, whilst Alfie has featured from the start for the last two matches after arriving at The Bob Lucas Stadium on December 18th. After spending a month at former club Bognor Regis Town earlier in the season, where he found the net memorably on his debut, Alfie’s second loan spell of the campaign began with a 1-1 draw against Dover Athletic before featuring in The Terras last fixture of the calendar year, a 2-3 victory over Weston-super-Mare on Boxing Day.

Also In The National League South…

Joining Eastbourne Borough at the start of the season, Archie Procter has continued to feature regularly for former Wanderers Head Coach Mark Beard’s team as we cross the midway point of the campaign. Looking to battle out of the relegation zone in the National League South, Archie is united in a squad which includes ex-Wanderers players Dan Quick, Callum Kealy and Sam Beard.

Jack Jebb remains a near ever-present for Havant & Waterlooville after signing on loan with the club in September. The Portsmouth-based side are going through a ‘reset period’ at present after a very difficult start to the season and the subsequent dismissal of manager Steve King at the beginning of December.

Towards the end of November, goalkeeper Slav Huk briefly featured on loan at Bath City, currently battling it out in the play-off places. ‘Super Slav’ made his debut in the Somerset Premier Cup win against Frome and also featured in the local clash with league leaders Yeovil Town, which ended in a narrow 0-1 defeat for The Romans.

Step 3 Round Up…

On loan at Leatherhead for much of 22/23, midfielder Ollie Allen continues to play his part in Walton & Hersham’s first campaign back at Step 3 this season in the Southern League Premier South. Consistently named in The Swans matchday squads throughout the campaign so far and making several starts along the way, Ollie will continue to be part of the club’s bid to reach the play-off’s with Walton currently residing in 8th place and 4 points off the final spot but with a couple of games in hand.

Defender Cameron Black has remained an ever-present for Cray Wanderers throughout the season, and after a difficult start to the campaign Neil Smith’s side have shifted away from the bottom end of the Isthmian Premier table, currently sat in 16th and unbeaten in the last three league matches. For Cam the last couple of matches have seen back-to-back clean sheets registered after a 0-0 draw with Margate was followed up with a 2-0 victory over Enfield Town on Dec 29th.

Left-sided wing-back Joe Rabbetts recently featured on the latest episode of the Talking Wanderers podcast, and continues to enjoy his loan spell at Bognor Regis Town. Following a season-long stint with The Rocks last term and after spending the month of September on loan at The Nye Camp earlier this term, Joe signed on for a third spell at the beginning of November, and has started each game since. Currently sat in the middle of the Isthmian Premier Division table in 12th spot, Bognor are unbeaten in their last six league matches, the recent good run of form including a 2-0 win over West Sussex rivals Horsham on Boxing Day.

After joining Wanderers in the summer, attacking midfielder Matt Everitt has been on loan with Carshalton Athletic since mid-October. Finding the net on his home debut against Horsham, Matt has made 10 appearances so far for The Robins and scored his second goal for the club in the 2-3 league defeat to Wingate & Finchley on Nov 25th.
