We are pleased to announce that three more of our exceptional young talents have committed to the club through our scholarship scheme.

Midfielder Joshua Crawley is the latest player from our all-conquering U12s squad to sign as a scholar (joining team-mate Joe Miles who committed to the club earlier this season).

Nathaniel Golan, goalkeeper for the club’s outstanding U14s, has been awarded a coveted Wanderers scholarship, worth over £2,000 a season.

While, Joshua Hebert, a member of our Surrey County Cup winning U16s also becomes a scholar, as he progresses into the academy next season.

“I’m really pleased that these boys have chosen to continue their development with Dorking Wanderers,” said our Head of Elite Youth Development, Richard King.

“And I’m also delightedthe club has underlined its desire to develop our own players by rewarding more players from the Elite Section. It’s just another step in our own progress towards reaching professional academy status. The future looks very bright!”

Joshua C, is a central midfielder with great technique and composure, while Nathaniel is a fantastic shot-stopper with excellent distribution. Joshua H came to us from Brighton and is an exciting attacking player, with an eye for goal.”

“These boys are winners, determined to succeed and a pleasure to coach,” added Richard.

“All three boys are outstanding prospects and we are thrilled to be offering them this opportunity,” said first-team manager Marc White.

“Hopefully their example will inspire all our younger players and show them what they can achieve at our club. These boys represent our future and we want to do all we can to develop their skills and talent.”

The boys follow in the proud footsteps of past and current Wanderers’ scholars – including Dom Plank, who signed for Wolves, as well as Freddy Leather, Jay Richardson, James Laws and Harry Charlesworth, who are all members of the club’s current B Team squad.

Richard added: “Huge thanks and kudos must go to coaches Sal Issa, Jack Clements, Josh Shahrum-Smith and Connor Mitchell for all their hard work with these players.”
