Harrison joins the club on the back of spending last season at Eastbourne Borough, and marks The Wanderers’ third signing of the close season.
Foulkes came through Hull City’s academy, before transferring to Derby County in 2021, where he made 20 appearances for The Rams’ U23 side. Whilst at Derby, the 23-year-old enjoyed two separate loan spells at National League North side Kettering Town.
Harrison made 23 appearances for The Sports last term, keeping seven clean sheets and was a mainstay in the side which put together a strong run to end the campaign; and ultimately retain their status as a National League South outfit.
Upon his arrival, Harrison told DWFC Media: “The opportunity to come here and join the project was an exciting prospect for me. The way that the club want to play fits my style well, so hopefully I can bring my skillset to the team and help the Wanderers on the way.”
“It’s time to get excited, the objective is to win every single game this year. It’ll be a successful season no doubt so it should be an exciting time for all the supporters.”
Marc White also stated: “Harrison was probably one of the best keepers in the National League South last year, a massive prospect. He had a whole range of clubs talking to him from the National League and League Two, but we managed to beat them to his signature. He has a really amiable personality, very likeable, very professional.”
Our new goalkeeper will join up with the rest of the squad at the end of June, when the Wanderers begin their 2024/25 preparations, and may make his first appearance in Wanderers colours in our pre-season curtain raiser at Poole Town on 6th July.
