We open our 2025/26 Enterprise National League South campaign with a trip to Wiltshire to face Chippenham Town, who finished 14th last season with 59 points, aiming to start as we mean to go on after a successful pre-season.
Our pre-season results were:
- 7-1 win versus Borne Town
- 5-1 win versus Leatherhead
- 3-0 win versus Sholing
- 2-0 loss to Aldershot Town
- 2-2 draw with Farnham Town
In his weekly update, Marc White said he is looking forward to the test that Chippenham pose, to start the season. Our previous encounters with Chippenham has seen us picking up 6 points having beaten them both times we met last season (1-0 at Meadowbank in August followed by 1-2 at Hardenhuish Park in December). However, the Bluebirds, like us, have made several new signings over the summer to prepare for what’s set to be a competitive season. Our newcomers Frank Vincent and Dennon Lewis are expected to make their competitive debuts for us after impressive performances so far; whilst other summer signing Louie Annesley is still recovering from an injury he picked up during pre-season.
With a sold-out supporters coach, we expect to see several Wanderers make the 200-mile journey, with Marc White hoping to see 200-300 there to support the boys and see in the new campaign before our competitive return to Meadowbank on the 16th.
THERE IS STILL TIME TO JOIN US ON THE ROAD AT CHIPPENHAM – HARDENHUISH PARK – SN14 6LR – SATURDAY AUGUST 9TH – 3PM
