First Team
Pre-season Sat 2 August The Memorial Ground
Farnham Town
Dorking Wanderers
15:00

In our final pre-season friendly, we visit The Memorial Ground to face Farnham Town FC, who have recently been promoted to the Southern League Premier, the same league as previous opposition Sholing FC, who we beat 3-0 a few weeks ago.

We go on the back of Saturday’s 2-0 defeat vs Aldershot Town – our first defeat of pre-season – looking to regain momentum ahead of next week’s league opener away to Chippenham and get back to winning ways. Well-known across non-league for their recent growth – including back-to-back promotions starting with the Combined Counties Premier South in 23/24 – and presence on social media, Farnham Town appears to be one of the most exciting clubs in non-league. This campaign also set them into the football history books, staying unbeaten for 33 games and having an “invincible” campaign. Last season, they finished champions of the Isthmian South Central, clear by 20 points.

Having a busy pre-season so far, Farnham have played 6, so we travel to them with 2 less games under our belt and with a record of 3 wins in 4 – compared to their undefeated 6.

This game also sees us face ex-Wanderer Bobby-Joe Taylor, who signed for the Town in May after 4 years with us, scoring 10 goals during his time as a Wanderer.
