3-0

Various chances were created from both sides but a youthful Wanderers attack was putting serious pressure on the hosting defence. Hebert had the biggest chance to put us ahead around the 20 minute mark as he was slid through on the edge of the box, with his shot across goal saved by the feet of Will Davis.

The hosts however had chances of their own and if it wasn’t for Kieron Lake-Bryan’s last ditch challenge on Kareem Akinibi, a mistake from Luca Fulco could’ve cost Wanderers the lead after he was robbed by the opposing striker.

However the deadlock was broken just before the break as David Diaz Barrie pounced inside the box as he got on the end of a Kenny Beaney header back across goal to bundle it over the line after a cross whipped in from deep. 1-0

HALF-TIME: RAYNES PARK VALE 1-0 DORKING WANDERERS

The second half however saw Vale pick up where they left off as striker Kareem Akinnibi gambled on a short pass from Max Foulkes, retrieving the ball inside the box and lofting it over the ‘keeper for his sides’ second. 2-0

Goalscorer Akinnibi had a second chance of his own about ten minutes later as he got on the end of a free-kick from the far side, running to the front post and flicking it on before clipping the crossbar.

However he turned provider for Omarr Lawson as he got in on the act by muscling away from his defender on the edge after good work from the fellow striker to take a touch and slot it well beyond Foulkes’ reach. 3-0
