Talent ID
The Dorking Wanderers Academy has been a leading provider of post-16 education over the past seven years, with success both on and off the field. As with every intake, we are looking for the right individuals to continue this upward trend.
Our Talent ID Day’s are part of the official trial process for candidates interested in joining our post-16 education and football programme, which consists of either A Level or BTEC studies alongside a full-time programme of football training, and playing for one of our National League or Tactic League sides. This is a two year, further education based commitment, with A Level studies completed with our partners at either Ashcombe School, Dorking or Dunottar School, Reigate, and BTEC education completed onsite at Meadowbank Stadium with our partners Virtual Learning UK.
Each Talent ID Day throughout the 24/25 season, designed for candidates interested in joining us from either September 2025 (current Year 11 candidates) or September 2026 (current Year 10 candidates), will take place at Meadowbank Stadium, Mill Lane, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1DX, across six designated Sunday’s evening between September and March.
Taking place between 5pm and 8pm, each session will consist of a presentation providing a full overview of the post-16 education and football programme, a training session out on the Meadowbank field of play, and will conclude with a session de-brief and Q&A.
Players must wear the following to participate in the training session:
- Long/short sleeve t-shirt/football shirt
- Shorts/tracksuit bottoms
- Knee-Length/Football Socks
- Shin Pads
- Moulded Football Boots
