We go into our 3rd pre-season match hoping to remain undefeated after 2 wins out of 3 so far – with one draw vs EFL side Barnet – and keep the momentum from last Tuesday’s 5-1 win over Leatherhead, which saw us pick up our first silverware of the campaign, in the Advertiser Trophy.

We travel to Sholing having played an extra match, with them having won one / lost one – against AFC Portchester and AFC Totton. Sholing compete in the Southern League Premier having finished mid-table in the Southern League Premier.

Our opponents on Saturday are yet to face a team who currently play above them in the pyramid – with AFC Portchester freshly promoted into step 4 (Isthmian South Central) and AFC Totton freshly promoted into our league – The National League South – from step 3 last season. But their manager, Paul Doswell, has experience across non-league – previously being involved with Sutton United and Eastleigh – so facing a team at this level is nothing new for him.

We visit the Mortgage Decision Stadium aiming to continue this unbeaten streak and keep preparing for the season ahead – with only 2 more friendlies to go before our 25/26 NLS campaign.
