Harrison, 22, spent over a decade rising through the youth ranks at Leeds United, going on to feature for the club’s Under 18 and Under 23 teams. At international youth level, Harrison also represented England’s U15 and U16 sides, making his debut at the age of just 14 against the USA.
Following loan spells with Tadcaster Albion and Gateshead, Harrison departed Elland Road and re-located south of the country in the summer of 2021, continuing his journey in senior football by joining Worthing. Immediately instated as first choice goalkeeper at the Sussex club, Harrison would be ever-present for The Rebels in his first season as Adam Hinshelwood’s side went on to win the Isthmian Premier Division by 10 points and secure promotion to the National League South for the first time in their history. Harrison would remain between the sticks throughout Worthing’s inaugural campaign at Step 2 last term, which concluded in a 4th placed finish and qualification for the play-offs, where after defeating Braintree Town in the eliminator, The Rebels were defeated at the semi-final stage by eventual winners Oxford City. The season would still end with silverware though for Worthing after defeating Bognor Regis Town in the Sussex Senior Cup final held at The Amex Stadium. Harrison unfortunately missed out on the final through injury, but was the hero at the semi-final stage after saving three penalties in the shoot-out against Hastings United. Wanderers first signing ahead of the 2023/24 campaign, Harrison is really looking forward to getting started:
“I’m buzzing to have signed with Dorking! The club has great ambition and aspirations. They play exciting football which aligns perfectly with my playing style. It was a no brainer and I’m excited to get going!”
Manager Marc White adds:
“Harrison is one of the most exciting young goalkeepers in the UK. Obviously he has a big professional background having spent many years at Leeds United, and he has represented England at a number of levels as well. An extremely talented player, he is renowned for being a ball-playing goalkeeper, and comparative to the levels around him his stats are incredible. We look forward to Harrison joining us and we really appreciate everything Worthing have done to get this deal completed.”
