Tom, 24, played youth football at the Southampton FC academy before taking steps into senior football with Bridport and then Dorchester Town. Across a five year spell with the latter, Tom scored 30 goals in 153 appearances.
In late 2020 Tom signed for National League Premier side Eastleigh, his year at The Silverlake Stadium including a loan spell with Salisbury before making the move to Weymouth in November 2021. Going on to make over 70 appearances for The Terras, Tom’s goals and assists played a key role in the Dorset club surviving in the National League South last term.
Making the switch to Havant & Waterlooville in the summer, Tom has featured for The Hawks in the early stages of this season but now embraces an opportunity to continue his progression by joining Wanderers:
“I’m really excited, Marc White has something great happening here, I really like the journey the club is going on and the only way is up. Obviously we have an away game this weekend but I’mreally looking forward to meeting the supporters properly at the first home game and making my mark on the team.”
Manager Marc White adds the following:
“Tom’s a really exciting young prospect proven at the level; he turned down several offers in the summer to join Havant & Waterlooville. He’s a really direct winger who can play left or right, brilliant end product, good height – I really feel Tom will fit into our style of play brilliantly. It’s another signing for us in that recruitment range where we are looking to add younger players to our group.”
Tom will wear the No29 shirt and will be part of the matchday squad for Saturday’sgame against FC Halifax Town.
