Marc White stuck with the same starting eleven from our midweek trip to York City. In fact there was only 1 change on the bench with Rutherford coming in for Ottaway.
The opening 10 minutes saw both sides start quick with multiple chances at both ends but neither side was able to really challenge the opposition goalkeeper. The remaining 35 minutes followed in this fashion as both sides struggled to break down the opposition defence. The Wanderers were enforcing their usual possession based patterns whilst the opposition were working hard to press from the front and attempting to release their wingers in behind the Wanderers defence.
At half time Cook was brought on to replace McManus who was cautioned early on in the firs half. The switch saw Cook drop into left-back and B. Taylor pushed forward into midfield and the Wanderers were more successful in wide areas. Both sides tinkered with formations and positioning in order to create the opener with The Wanderers creating the most chances in the first 20 minutes of the second half.
The last 10 minutes were tentative with both sides pushing for the winner but neither side was able to create any clear cut chances and the match finished goalless.
The Wanderers finish the week having picked up 4 points on the road at York City & Kidderminster Harriers.
Attendance: 3745 (168 Wanderers)
