We focus on the fundamental/core skills (agility, balance and coordination) to teach the children through a football aimed focus that will enhance their understanding and knowledge of what SSG (small sided games) look like by the time they get to U7s.

With that in mind sessions will include:

• Movement and chasing games – to encourage awareness and dodging skills.
• Ball mastery – learning to manipulate the balls using different parts of both feet including, dribbling, turning and skill based topics.
• 1v1 scenarios – exposed to defending & attacking, escaping against other players by wriggling, twisting and turning away from defenders and stealing the ball from attackers by poking, stealing and forcing mistakes.
• Striking skills – learning to use different parts of the foot to strike at a target
• Receiving skills – understand that a moving ball will travel towards players to have the ability to control the ball with both feet.
• SSG – 2v2, 3v3 & 4v4 scenarios to apply the above.
