A crazy second half at Grosvenor Vale saw the Wanderers surrender a 2-0 lead, shipping four goals within half an hour to gift Wealdstone their first win in seven games.

It will be another new ground to tick off the list for Wanderers, with it being only the second time the two clubs have ever met. The reverse fixture back in September ended in a 1-2 defeat at Meadowbank, with The Dale staging a late comeback scoring two goals in the 89th and 95th minute to snatch three points after Tom Blair scored his first goal for the club on the hour mark.
The boys have traveled up to Rochdale this evening, staying overnight as they prepare for their final away fixture of the 2023/24 season.
Team News
We came out of Thursday nights fixture with no fresh injury concerns, with neither Jason Prior and Alfie Rutherford deemed fit enough to start from the off, the latter did however get some minutes off the bench in the last half an hour.
Marc White said Prior may be fit for Hartlepool on the final day, but will definitely be out for tomorrow.
Prior joins an extensive injury list which includes Matt Briggs, James McShane, Dan Gallagher, Niall McManus, George Francomb and Barry Fuller.
Opposition Focus – The Dale
Following their relegation from the EFL last year, Rochdale’s debut season in the National League has been steady but one they will be hoping to improve on next season. Currently occupying 11th position in the league, The Dale finish the season with no relegation scares or play-off hopes, a sentiment which corresponds to their recent form, the side are without a win from their last three outings.
The Dale’s most recent outing came at Oldham Athletic, where they played out a 1-1 draw for the second successive game, after rescuing a point at home to Hartlepool the week prior, thanks to a 96th minute Devante Rodney equaliser.
Rochdale have three players on double digit goal tallies for the season – Tyreese Sinclair (10), Ian Henderson (11), and Kaito Mitchell (14) have all demonstrated a serious ability in front of goal this campaign.
